Traction Duty Annunciator


SMC is pleased to offer the series 600 annunciator panel for traction substation applications. These annunciators have the added design features of high dielectric mutual isolation of all sense points and long life high intensity LED indicators or optional backlight illumination.

The Series 600 Annunciator is designed for use in critically important traction substation applications. The Series 600 was specifically designed with high dielectric isolation to prevent propagation of high voltage/current faults and subsequent failure of vital equipment and instrumentation.

Features

  • 16, 24, 48 or 72 - channel annunciator panel with wide viewing angle high-intensity red LED indication
  • Fully isolated power supply
  • RFI, EMI, and transient protected IRFI emissions suppressed
  • 2400VDC mutually isolated dry contact inputs, each with integral 20VDC 5mA contact wetting supply. Inputs will reliably sense oxidized or resistive contacts up to 500 ohms
  • Each sense input is DIP switch programmable to operate from N.O. or N.C. contacts
  • Each input follower SCADA relay is DIP switch programmable for NORMAL or INVERTED mode
  • The monitor circuit verifies that power supplies are within tolerance and indicates with the front panel STATUS OK LED and a form-C dry contact STATUS relay
  • Hazardous voltage DC faults to the power input or the isolated sense inputs are detected and indicated by the front panel HV FAULT LED and the STATUS relay
  • An optional alarm sounds for 2 seconds when a sensed input makes initial transition to alarm state (can be DIP switch disabled)
  • 1 Hz display flash mode can be DIP switch disabled to steady state
